Learning to be gluten free in our home has been a challenge, with a gluten allergy myself and a daughter diagnosed with Celiac disease we have had to adjust. I have found with lots of reading and some amazing products you do not have to feel like your missing out. One of these products we came upon recently was Gluten Free Mama’s, Mama’s Almond Blend All Purpose Gluten-Free Flour.

Not only does she have tons of recipes on her blog at http://www.glutenfreemama1.com/ You can also use her flour to replace your regular flour in some recipes.

Today I am sharing just one of the recipes I adapted to using gluten free flour mix. Mind you any good gluten free flour mix will do. I have successfully used others. The above product yielded a texture just like regular flour which I like the best.

Today’s recipe is one of my favorites. Gluten Free Chicken Fried Steak with gravy!! I am very happy how good this turned out. Even my none gluten free hubby said it tasted just like the originals! That is a total thumbs up to me! Enjoy.

A Tip That Makes Me Love My KitchenAid® Even More

Who does not love a stand mixer? I have wanted one for a better part of 20 years. Finally this year my dream came true! I got a KitchenAid® professional 6 Qt. Now I can make Cheesecake and other delicious desserts much easier.

I am sharing a cool tip today. One of the thing I love to make is tacos. Usually shredded chicken, beef or pork. We all know how time consuming it can be to shred our meat after we have cooked it. Often the meat is a hot sticky mess, making it a pain to shred. This is where the Stand mixer comes in handy!

If you have cooked BONELESS meat of any kind you can put it whole into your Kitchenaid and using the paddle attachment you can shred it in a minute!. Simply, easy, no mess, no fuss, no touching hot meat!

I made the Slow Roasted BBQ beef recipe I have on the site. I simply dropped the whole roast into my bowl, added my paddle attachment and 15 seconds later had perfectly shredded beef. Here is a picture of before and after. See how steamy the picture is? So glad I didn’t have to shred it by hand :)

Hope you enjoy your next shredded meat meal with far less fuss!

See you soon,
